Four Questions with Sunav Shrestha, C3E Women in Clean Energy Poster Session Winner
University of South Dakota student won for her poster “Solar Energy Conversion of Waste Water into Hydrogen as a Renewable Fuel”
What was it like presenting at the C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium?
Meeting so many women in science and technology and having an opportunity to present at the C3E Symposium was a great accomplishment.
What was the most interesting part of the Symposium?
The women on the research panels were very knowledgeable, and had great ideas. Having the chance to interact with women in different sectors, from industries to law firms, was very intellectually stimulating, and at the same time exciting. I was also really happy to get to know Anya Cherneff. She is actively working to provide light bulbs to villages in rural parts of Nepal, which inspired me and encouraged me to think like an entrepreneur.
What have you gone on to do since presenting at C3E?
I have been actively working on my research projects and have let women know about the opportunity to present at C3E, and my experience attending the C3E workshop.
What role has networking that was initiated at C3E played in your career?
Networking was the key element of C3E that helped me distinguish myself and go above and beyond in the research field at my University.
