Who We Are

Closing the gender gap and increasing the participation, leadership, and success of women in clean energy fields are the goals of the U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Initiative.

What We Do



The annual U.S. C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium is an invitation-only gathering of approximately 250 people across the clean energy spectrum.



The U.S. C3E Ambassadors are a group of more than 30 distinguished senior professionals who represent the U.S. C3E Initiative at public forums and work to strengthen the recruitment, retention, and advancement of highly qualified women in the energy field.


The U.S. C3E Awards recognize mid-career women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishments in clean energy.



The U.S. C3E Program’s social media presence provides women from around the world who are working in clean energy fields with information, insight, inspiration, and an opportunity to engage with peers and mentors.

2019 U.S. C3E Symposium

The 8th Annual U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Women in Clean Energy Symposium and Awards, an invitation-only event hosted by the Texas A&M Energy Institute, will recognize eight outstanding women who are advancing and implementing clean and innovative energy solutions that are transforming our energy infrastructure and reducing emissions. At the event, we also recognize a Lifetime Achievement Award winner whose accomplishments serve as an inspiration.

2019 U.S. C3E Award nominations are now closed. Awards will be announced at the 8th Annual U.S. C3E Symposium.
