Founder and Chief Executive Officer, DF Strategies, LLC
In 2018, Deb Frodl founded her own strategy consulting firm, DF Strategies, LLC, in Minneapolis. This enterprise concluded a successful 25-year career at General Electric (GE) for Frodl, where she most recently served as Global Executive Director, Ecomagination. She led GE’s business strategy to accelerate technology development that increases customer productivity and acts as a driver for cleaner energy solutions. Frodl was also the Global Executive Director of corporate marketing.
Frodl began her career with GE Capital Fleet Services and held various positions in marketing and services. In 1991, she joined GE Capital Public Finance in a sales role and then became the Vice President, National Sales Manager for the Municipal Market. In 1999, Frodl accepted the role of President and CEO of Public Finance. She increased her responsibilities by accepting the role of President and CEO for Dealer Financial Services. In 2004, Frodl was named the Chief Marketing Officer for Commercial Equipment Finance, where she led a global marketing team. She rejoined GE Capital Fleet Services in 2005 as Chief Commercial Officer. In 2010, Frodl was named the Chief Strategy Officer for GE Capital Fleet Services and Global Alternative Fuels Leader for GE. She was responsible for the commercial organization, including strategy, marketing, commercial excellence, and telematics, and was a team member of Ecomagination.
Frodl is the Executive Champion of the Minneapolis GE Women’s Network and a member of the Executive Steering Committee for GE Commercial Women. She is a board member of the Renewable Energy Group, Advanced Energy Economy, and Masdar's Women in Sustainability, Environment & Renewables. In past years, Frodl served on the America Automotive Leasing Board. She was recognized as a Top 25 Industry Leader by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, Most Influential Women in Fleet Management by Automotive Fleet, and Sustainability All Star by Green Fleet. Frodl was also recognized by Connected World Magazine as one of the 2013 Top Women in M2M and by the Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment as the 2014 Woman of the Year.
Frodl earned her MBA at the University of St. Thomas and her Bachelors in Business from Minnesota State University.
